Ragheb Alama (June 7, 1962) is a Lebanese composer, dancer, singer, and television personality. While competing on the 1980s talent show Studio El Fan, where he won the Platinum Award, Alama got his start in the entertainment industry. Famous for her work after Studio El Fan, Alama continued to release albums every year and had number-one hits with songs like "Ya lait" (If Only), "'Aan Jad" (Seriously), and "Alby Asheq'ha" (My Heart Adores Her), the first Arabic song ever to have a music video.
Virgin Megastores Dubai certified Ragheb Alama's 2008 single "Baa'sha'ak" as platinum in April 2009 due to the album's record-breaking sales. Hits like "Yighib" and "Ser Hobbi" were part of the album his firm, Backstage Production, produced. "Seneen Rayha" and "Betfell" were top hits from Ragheb's 2010 album Seneen Rayha, which had an environmental theme and was produced by his firm.
Along with a B-side compilation album called "Starz Vol. 1" that featured the popular collaboration with Shakira, "Good Stuff (Remix)," the album further cemented Alama's status as the top Arab musician. It was sold at all Starbucks Coffee locations. Along with Elissa and Donia Samir Ghanem, he served on the X Factor jury in 2015. He competed on Season 5 of The Voice: Ahla Sawt in 2019 and guided the winning act Mahdi.
