Passafire Information
Passafire is an American band that deals in reggae-rock genres. The band is currently based in Savannah, Georgia. Passafire was founded by Ted Bowne (vocals/guitar) and Nick Kubley (drums) in 2003. They both are Savannah, Georgia natives who were students at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) at band formation. Soon the lineup was filled with Adam Willis on the keyboard and Tom Heet on bass. Passafire was now a quartet. The band released its debut self-produced, self-titled album on August 29, 2006.
On September 18, 2007, Passafire released its sophomore album, Submersible. The album was given the "Top 10 Best Reggae Albums of 2007" by iTunes. It was followed by Passafire's third album, Everyone on Everynight. On September 15, 2009, the album came out via Pepper's recording label, LAW Records. The band released an EP entitled Interval on March 24, 2015.
Passafire is well-known for regularly touring and playing shows with many notable bands. For example, Rebelution, Matisyahu, 311 (on the 311 Cruise 2012 and 2019), Michael Franti, Pepper (on the LAW Records Tour in October 2008), and The Wailers. At the end of December 2013, the band members toured with Slightly Stoopid. Some of the other notable acts by the band are John Brown's Body, The Expendables, The Expanders, and a few more.
"Feel It" (2006), "Workingman's Song" (2006), "Rude Boi" (2006), "Laquiji" (2006), "The Breeze," "Ghost Man" (2007), "Kilo" (2007), "Unfamiliar" (2007), and "Mr. Massive" (2008) are some of the hit singles by Passafire.
