The Elovaters Information
The Elovaters are an American reggae rock band based in Boston. They were formed in 2014 in Marshfield, Massachusetts, where they grew up, and were previously known as The Cornerstone, a seven-piece reggae rock band on the rise in Boston's music scene.
Releasing their debut album under their new moniker, the Elovaters now use their previous title, The Cornerstone. Produced, mixed, and mastered by Mike Caplan at Washington, D.C.'s Lion and Fox Studios, it was officially released in 2017. The Elovaters' 2018 album Defy Gravity was named "Album of the Year" by Surf Roots T.V. & Radio listeners.
Castles, the third studio album by the Elovaters, was released on August 13, 2021, on their label Belly Full Records. Johnny Cosmic produced it, and Stick Figure recorded it in 16 days at Great Stone Studios in Oakland, California.
After tallying all the votes cast on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, The Elovaters' album Castles was named "2021 Album of the Year" by Surf Roots T.V. & Radio on December 26, 2021. The Elovaters' fourth studio album was released on July 28, 2023, in June of that year. Their March singles included "Sunlight," "M.I.A.," "Come and Get It," and "All Her Favorite Songs" (ft. Little Stranger).
Nick Bailey contributed to the album's production and composition, while Danny Kalb served as producer. The album features fourteen tracks. Sonic Ranch's associate engineer Marco Ramiez worked on the mix, while Chris Gehringer of Edgewater, New Jersey's Sterling Sound, was in charge of mastering. Laihha Organna, who also appeared on the cover, designed the band's single covers.
