Oz, who began his professional career when he was 13 years old, is an Israeli musician specializing in jazz, blues, pop, and rock. At 16, he was already performing with some of Israel's most renowned artists and bands. He was already a top studio guitarist in America by the time he was 24. Almost over two years, Oz also played in the house band for Israel's most popular television program.
Oz has profoundly affected the New York music scene and beyond since he arrived in 1996. When it comes to instrumental guitar music, he has completely rewritten the laws by emphasizing groove, which is both unique and addictive. On drummers, legends like Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Dave Weckl pitch in, and bassists like Will Lee, James Genus, and Reggie Washington provide support.
"Oz Live," recorded in New York City's famed Bitter End, was published in 2003 as Oz's first album. Oz joined Magna Carta Records in 2004. The following year, his critically praised studio album "HA!" was published featuring Mike Stern, George Whitty, and special guests Fig, Carlock, Lee, and Genus.
A licensing agreement between Magna Carta and Japanese label Videoarts was signed in April 2007, allowing Oz's music to be released in Japan for the first time. In the fall of that year, Oz's third album for the Magna Carta label, "Fuzzy," was released. Several of Oz's all-star band members, including Colaiuta, bassist Jimmy Johnson, and keyboardists Whitty and Jim Beard, guest on Fuzzy.
