The Osheaga Music and Arts event is an annual multi-day music event held in Montreal, Quebec, at Parc Jean-Drapeau on Île Sainte-Hélène. Six stages with different capacities for audiences mark the event. Every performance space corresponds with a sponsor. Band set times vary depending on the performer's festival status.
Headliners finish each day with 90-minute plus concerts; emerging performers do 30-minute sets. About 50,000 people turned out for the 2006 festival. Every day, the 2012 event filled its 80,000 capacity. The event has debuted "Osheaga Play," an interactive play area and social media-linked photosystem in the last two years.
Carnival activities in the "play zone" let festival attendees participate and earn points to pay for awards. Osheaga Play also has roaming photographers who may scan participants' RFID bracelets so the images will be directly posted to their social media accounts. Headlining Noah Kahan, Green Day, and SZA, Osheaga 2024 is set from August 2 to August 4.
