Once a world-renowned Latin performer and choreographer, Nio Garcia now performs as a rapper and stars in movies. His early reggaeton hits "Infinitely," "Soy Yo," and "Castigo" established him as a trailblazer in the genre. "Che Robótico" is a nickname he's earned among dancers. Over 100 million people watched the 2018 video for "Te Boté," which featured Nicky Jam, Ozuna, and Bad Bunny and peaked at #2 on the Latin Pop rankings. Over two billion people have watched the official 2019 version featuring the artists above, plus Casper Mágico and Darell in that time.
Garcia worked with Flow La Motion and Manuel Turizo in 2021. Luis Antonio Quinones Garcia was born on September 19, 1898, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dancing, which he had done off and on for most of his life, became a fixation by the time he was 15, and he decided to make a career out of it. He had already established himself as an artist in San Juan's burgeoning urban music scene, and he started collaborating with various musicians to choreograph their performances.
In less than a year, he had established himself as a world-class performer and choreographer with a touring career that took him all over the globe. The college student who appeared in Reggaeton: The Movie in 2013 was already refocusing his talent by taking up the mike to add new dimensions to his performances. DJ Nelson, owner of the Flow Music record label and a businessman in his own right, heard one of his early demos and decided to contract the young artist and serve as his first producer.
