Award-winning performer Nicolas Bearde, who has been compared to Lou Rawls, Nat "King" Cole, and Bill Withers, has a smooth baritone voice and an endearing stage presence that draws in audiences wherever he performs. Bearde, originally from Nashville but currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, has worked in his field for over 35 years. Bearde has 6 CDs out on his label, Right Groove Records, and has established himself as a pioneer of the modern male vocal jazz scene by sharing the stage with such luminaries as Nat Adderley, Jr., Vincent Herring, Eric Alexander, Bobby McFerrin, and Bernard Purdie.
Released on August 30, 2019, with special guest and sax great Eric Alexander, "I Remember You: The Music of Nat King Cole" swiftly climbed into the Top 20 on the Jazz Week Charts and was met with critical acclaim at home and abroad. Bearde is the featured vocalist on the number-one album "Hard Times" by saxophone great Vincent Herring. In addition, he was the vocalist and narrator for Vincent's "Story of Jazz Orchestra," a ten-piece group comprised of jazz greats such as Eric Alexander, James Carter, Jon Faddis, Jeremy Pelt, Steve Turre, Mike LeDonne, Kenny Davis, and Carl Allen.
