Natalie Grant Information
Natalie Diane Grant (December 21, 1971) is an American singer and songwriter. She was born in Seattle, Washington. She allegedly believed that her musical abilities were only meant to be shared with her local church until she learned how to discover God's true calling for her life. As a result, she reportedly changed her professional path and started singing Christian music. When Grant tried out for the touring music group Truth, she got her start in modern Christian music.
Later, she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, to further her solo career. She began work on her self-titled debut there, which was released in 1999, and there she signed with Benson Records in 1997. Soon after, she quit Benson for Pamplin Music, releasing the album Stronger in 2001. After Pamplin went out of business, she wound up at Curb Records, where as of 2012, she had released five solo albums, beginning with Deeper Life in 2003. Her breakthrough achievement came in 2005 with Awaken. It had RIAA gold certification. Love Revolution and Hurricane came after it, on August 24, 2010, and October 15, 2013.
Between 1999 and 2003, Grant put out three albums, but most of her top songs were later in her career. Since then, she has expressed dissatisfaction with how her early record label promoted her partly based on her appearance, and she claims that her debut single "wasn't me at all."
