Nasty Savage is a thrash metal band. The group's current lineup consists of Ronnie Galetti, Demian Gordon, Scott Carino, Jim Coker, and Dave Orman. Singer "Nasty" Ronnie Galetti's outrageous stage antics (in early gigs, Ronnie smashed televisions over his head) were largely responsible for the band's meteoric rise to fame.
Florida bands like Death and Obituary owe a great deal to them for their start in the death metal genre. Indulgence, their second studio album, which featured the smash hit "XXX," was recorded at Progressive Music in Tampa, Florida. The band's demos were instrumental in signing them to the metal label Metal Blade Records. Between 1985 and 1989, they released three albums and one extended play before quitting.
Their final studio album, Psycho Psycho, was released in the spring of 2004 after much speculation about a reunion, and the band continued to perform occasional live gigs until disbanding for a second time in 2012. Nasty Savage reportedly reunited in January 2016 and has been slowly progressing toward releasing a new album.
