Dayseeker Information
Dayseeker is an American post-hardcore band. The current lineup includes Rory Rodriguez, Gino Sgambelluri, Mike Karle, and Ramone Valerio. 2012 Dayseeker came together in Orange, California, close to Anaheim, with vocalist Rory Rodriguez, guitarists Gino Sgambelluri and Alex Polk, bassist Andrew Sharp, and drummer Mike Karle. Before forming Dayseeker, Rory Rodriguez and Alex Polk were members of the band Arms Like Yours.
Dayseeker's fourth album, Sleeptalk, was released on September 27, 2019. The deluxe edition of Sleeptalk was released shortly before the album's second anniversary. It featured reworked versions of the first four songs: "Drunk," "Crooked Soul," "Burial Plot," and "Sleeptalk," as well as stripped-down versions of each. Drummer Zac Mayfield of Oh, Sleeper revealed in the fall of 2021 that he would temporarily replace Mike Karle for the upcoming months and years.
"Neon Grave" was announced by Dayseeker on March 25, 2022. Rodriguez announced that work is underway on a new album and revealed that, in the wake of his daughter's unanticipated arrival, he has been deeply affected by the feelings that accompanied his father's death. November 4, 2022, was the release date of their fifth studio album, Dark Sun.
