Moonshine Bandits Information
Moonshine Bandits is an American country rap band founded in 2003 and originated from Los Banos, California. The current lineup of the group comprises Dusty "Tex" Dahlgren and Brett "Bird" Brooks. This duo released its debut album on October 21, 2003. The album was named Soggy Crackerz. Moonshine Bandits met Ty Weathers, the founder of Burn County Music, and the pair work closely on Moonshine Bandits Blue Core/Dirt Rock sound.
Prohibition was the second studio album by Moonshine Bandits that came out on June 27, 2006. It was followed by Divebars and Truckstops (February 2, 2010) and Whiskey and Women (May 10, 2011). For their fourth album, the duo signed with Suburban Noize Records. In February 2012, a music video for the song "My Kind of Country" premiered on CMT Pure Country. It included a special appearance by Mike Allsup, known as the bearded guy playing the guitar.
Moonshine Bandits partnered with Average Joes Entertainment in 2014 for their fifth album was entitled Calicountry. The album sold over 3,000 copies in the first week of its release and debuted at number 22 on the Billboard Top Country Albums. Some of the other notable albums by the duo are Blacked Out (July 17, 2015), Baptized in Bourbon (March 3, 2017), and Gold Rush (October 5, 2018).
The duo also released two extended plays entitled Rebels on the Run (September 30, 2014) and The Whiskey Never Dries (August 2, 2019). "Outback" and "Take This Job" are the two hit singles by Moonshine Bandits.
