Mondo Cozmo Information
Joshua Keith Ostrander (April 8, 1979) is an American record producer, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 2000 through 2005, Ostrander was the lead singer of the alternative rock band Laguardia. They released their debut album, Welcome to the Middle, on Universal Records and Republic Records in 2003, with the track "Holy Ghost" serving as the album's lead single. The band featured Joshua Ostrander, Greg Lyons, Lee Bernstein, and Michael Morpurgo. A Spanish Pop rock band by the same name was active from 1983 to 1997 and then reformed in 2003. However, they are distinct from Ostrander's Laguardia.
Later in life, Ostrander took the reins at Eastern Conference Champions (ECC), a band he co-founded with Laguardia pal Greg Lyons and CKY pal Vern Zaborowski. Melissa Dougherty was another band member. Ostrander and Lyons formed ECC after signing with Geffen Records and releasing their debut EP, The Southampton Collection.
Ostrander has collaborated with producers including Brendan O'Brien, Owen Morris, Brad Wood, Thom Panunzio, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis and has produced albums for bands like Voxhaul Broadcast. Ostrander is based out of Santa Fe Studios, a studio in the heart of Los Angeles. In 2016, Ostrander began releasing music under the moniker Mondo Cozmo, and by January 2017, his track "Shine" had climbed to the top of Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart.
