Since its inception, the mariachi band has matured into a highly skilled musical ensemble.
The Los Angeles-based Mariachi group Mariachi Reyna has released three studio albums: 1998's Solo Tuya, 2002's El Mujer Mariachi Femenino del Mundo, and 2008's Compaeras. In the category of Best Mexican American/Tejano Music Performance, Compaeras was up for a Grammy in 2009.
