Machado has recently performed on stage or in the studio with modern giants, including Anderson.Paak, Robert Glasper, Lalah Hathaway, Pete Rock, and Georgia Ann Muldrow, and he has received endorsement deals from D'Angelico Guitars, Beetronics, Tech 21, and D'Addario.
Machado has worked with multiple Grammy-winning producer/keyboardist Robert Glasper on the soundtracks to two documentaries in the last two years: the SHO documentary "Apollo," which won an Emmy, and the NAACP documentary "Mr. Soul," which won an NAACP Image Award and is a tribute to Ellis Hazlip and his groundbreaking early 1970s TV show of the same name. Upon its first 2021 release, the picture was quickly nominated for several Academy Awards. Machado worked on the song "Show Me Your Soul" for the film alongside Lalah Hathaway and Robert Glasper.
Both of Machado's most recent singles, "I Can't Lose," featuring Jermaine Holmes (from D'Angelo's Vanguard), and the groovy instrumental "Dig," will be used in the film's soundtrack. "Blue Diamonds" won awards at numerous independent film festivals. Both Madison Square Garden, for the New York Knicks, and Oracle Arena, for the Golden State Warriors, asked Machado to sing the national anthem in front of sold-out crowds of over 20,000 people.
