Man Man Information
Man Man is an American experimental rock band. The group's current lineup consists of Cheesy Ten Sack, Eggs Foster, Mature Kevin, Jazz Diesel, and Honus Honus. The Man in a Blue Turban with a Face, Man Man's debut album, was released on Ace Fu Records in October 2004, but the band didn't start touring heavily until the release of 2006's Six Demon Bag.
The band gained even more exposure in 2007 when they served as Modest Mouse's opening act for multiple U.S. tours. The song "10 lb Mustache" by Man Man became the soundtrack for a series of Nike advertisements starring Rainn Wilson that aired shortly after. Weeds Season 3 Episode 8 contained the songs "10 lb Mustache," "Feathers," and "Engrish Bwudd." In addition to the theme song, the band also covered "Little Boxes" for the episode's opening credits.
In 2008, Man Man released Rabbit Habits on ANTI- and set out on a North American tour with support from Yeasayer and Tim Fite. All Tomorrow's Parties, Primavera Sound, Meredith Music Festival, and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival were among the events they played that year. Life Fantastic, Man Man's fourth album, was produced by Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk) and released in May 2011. The album has a darker, less "wacky" vibe than their prior efforts.
