Mamas Gun Information
Mamas Gun is a five-piece neo-soul band from England that is best recognized for their album Golden Days, released in 10-track format. Christopher Boot, Cameron Dawson, Terry Lewis, David Oliver, and Andy Platts are the individuals that make up this group.
In 2007, Platts established Mamas Gun in London, and he recruited the other members of the band through advertisements posted on social networking websites. A few of the members had previously achieved success in the music industry by working as session musicians for well-known performers such as John Oates, Park Hyo Shin, and Leon Ware.
In 2008, Mamas Gun published their first single, "Pots of Gold," which was played on BBC Radio 2 several times. As a result of the band's distinctive hallmark sound, they immediately gained a loyal fanbase, and they published their debut full-length album, Routes to Riches, to a great deal of critical praise.
One of the countries in which Routes to Riches was particularly successful was Japan, where it climbed up to the third position on the charts. Currently, Mamas Gun is still touring and recording, and a few of the band's members are also performing as members of the group Young Gun Silver Fox.
