M3 Rock Festival is a world-renowned rock music festival. I.M.P., founded in 1980, is an independent music promoter, event production firm, venue owner, and operator in Bethesda, Maryland. I.M.P. owns the famed 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., rated the Top Club by Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Pollstar, and is known as the preeminent destination to see and hear cutting-edge live music of all sorts.
The Anthem is the company's newest jewel, a 2,500-6,000-person capacity venue on the Southwest Waterfront that opened to national acclaim in October 2017 with Foo Fighters inaugurating the stage. I.M.P. also manages and programs the award-winning Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland. The historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. M3 has evolved from a festival to an '80s arena rock event over the last decade.
