Lyrica Anderson is an American R&B singer and songwriter born in Los Angeles, California. Written by Anderson and R&B artist Iyaz in 2009, Charice's "Pyramid" reached the top of the US Dance Club Songs chart in 2010. On Demi Lovato's third album, Unbroken, Anderson is credited with writing two songs: "All Night Long" by Missy Elliott and Timbaland and "Together" with Jason Derulo.
Anderson dropped her first mixtape, King Me, in September 2012. She was dropped from Timbaland's Mosley Music Group/Interscope Records label contract in 2013. The same year, she collaborated with Beyoncé on the song "Jealous" from her fifth album. Featuring performances from Ty Dolla $ign, Kevin Gates, and Wiz Khalifa, she dropped her first extended play, King Me 2, in May of 2014.
Anderson co-wrote Tinashe's 2014 single "Pretend" with the vocalist. Grass isn't Greener, a song by Chris Brown, was written by her and Brown. Anderson unveiled her first full-length studio album, Hello, in October 2015. She joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood as a recurring character in the third season, airing on VH1 2016. She was a regular cast member until her return in 2017.
