Lupita D'Alessio Information
Lupita D'Alessio (March 10, 1954) is a Mexican actress and singer born in Mexico City. Her father, Poncho D'Alessio, had a musical variety program called La Familia D'Alessio on a Tijuana television station, where she got her start in show business. Following her success at the 1971 Sanremo Music Festival with her cover of the Italian song "Il Cuore è Uno Zingaro," she relocated to Mexico City. She released the 1971 single "Mi Corazón es un Gitano."
She co-starred with Fernando Allende in the 1987 telenovela Tiempo De Amar. In 1989, she released "Quién te crees t," the theme song to the telenovela Lo Blanco y lo Negro, her final work from the 1980s.
She joined the cast of TV Azteca's Ellas, inocentes o Culpables in 2000, although she only stayed for a month before leaving. In 2002, she made another appearance on Televisa as a guest star in the situation comedy La Jaula, co-starring Cesar Bono, Carlos Eduardo Rico, and Sheyla Tadeo.
D'Alessio has her handprints and a star engraved on the Paseo de las Luminarias in Mexico City in honor of her achievements in the television and music industries. As a reviewer, she appeared on multiple episodes of Parodiando in 2011. In 2018, she participated in her biopic in the miniseries Hoy voy a Cambiar, performing the song "Yo Sigo Aqui," which quickly became a number-one hit.
