Lipstick Jodi Information
Lipstick Jodi is an American pop-rock band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The group’s current lineup consists of Camile Hoorn, Jamie Baarman, Luke Rockhold, and Karli Morehouse. The band is recognized for playing Pride events and focuses on gay inclusivity in the Grand Rapids music community.
Lipstick Jodi formed in 2014 after vocalist Karli Morehouse decided that some of the acoustic songs she had been demoing would work better in an electric setting. She found drummer Luke Rockhold on Craigslist. The band won first place in a Gorilla Music Battle of the bands early on.
The band’s debut EP “Good Not Great,” recorded with Andrew Dornoff of The Outer Vibe, was released in 2015.
To broaden their appeal, Morehouse and Rockhold recruited bassist Camile Hoorn and keyboardist Jamie Baarman.
In 2017, Lipstick Jodi published its first full-length, a self-titled album, produced at River City Studios by Austin Ruhstorfer and mastered by Roy Wallace. The band released a music video for the track “That’s so Great (She Likes Boys).”
