John “Elias” Villagran (March 1, 1994) is an American rapper, musician, and singer. He is professionally known as Lil Lotus. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He started making music after getting influenced by groups such as Paramore and Linkin Park. At the age of fourteen, Lotus had already started performing worship and praise music and his brother at their church. These performances led him to form a Christian melodic hardcore band.
Lotus began mixing and recording acoustic solo music and uploading the songs across online platforms in 2016. At the time, Lotus was performing under the alias, Tremor. Lotus released his debut EP on June 15, 2017, entitled, Bodybag. He also released the song entitled “Ur Dad Has A Gun” on September 14, 2017. Lotus opened for Nothing, Nowhere during his United States headline tour from March 3 to April 6. He also opened for Papa Roach from October 5 to October 9.
Lotus released a collaborative EP on May 31, 2019, entitled; I Set My Friends on Fire. The EP featured a track in which Lotus covers I Set My Friends on Fire. He signed a record deal with Epitaph Records on December 11, 2019. Tisoki featured him on his single “Promise” on February 3, 2020. Lotus released another EP, All My Little Scars, on May 15, 2020.
On August 20, 2021, Lil Lotus released his debut studio album entitled Errør Bøy. A few of his notable singles are “I Don’t Even Like U,” “Girl Next Door,” “Romantic Disaster,” and “Think of Me Tonight.”
