Lewis Del Mar is a Rockaway Beach, New York City-based experimental pop duet. The current lineup of the group consists of Max Harwood and Danny Miller. When their debut track Loud(y), reached number 1 on Hype Machine in early 2015, the group gained much attention. In January 2016, they published their debut EP, which reached number 7 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart.
Lewis Del Mar’s self-titled debut album was released on Columbia Records on October 7, 2016. NPR, Vice, and The New York Times praised the album, which led to appearances on The Late Late Show with James Corden and Conan. From 2016 to 2017, the record spawned an international headlining tour, which included appearances at internationally famous festivals such as Austin City Limits, Outside Lands, and Lollapalooza.
The band announced in May 2020 that their second album, AUGUST, will be released on August 21, 2020. “The Ceiling,” the album’s debut track, was premiered as a Beats 1 Radio “Worlds First” by Zane Lowe and gained support from Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1’s “Future Sounds.” Notable singles of the duo include “Loud(y),” “Painting (Masterpiece),” “Puerto Cabeza, NI,” “Malt Liquor,” “The Ceiling / Border (CH. III),” “Do You Need Me,” and “TV.”
