Levi Kreis Information
Levi Kreis (November 4, 1973) is an American actor and recording artist from Oliver Springs, Tennessee. After launching a successful career, Kreis released his first official album named The Gospel According To Levi. The album confronted religion and unhealthy views on sexuality, explicitly related to the LGBT community and conversion therapy. His song “Stained Glass Window” won the OutMusic Award in 2009. The song was inspired by the Del Shores play entitled “Southern Baptist Sissies.”
Kreis’ compositions have been featured on Mob Wives, So You Think You Can Dance, Sons of Anarchy, The Vampire Diaries, Young and the Restless, and Days Of Our Lives. His other well-received albums include Bygones, Where I Belong, Live @ Joe’s Pub, Imagine Paradise, Broadway at the Keys, Liberated, Home For The Holidays, Three Words – Single, Faith – Single, and Bad Habit.
As an actor, Kreis has been featured in Broadway’s Million Dollar Quartet to originate Jerry Lee Lewis’s role. For this performance, he was awarded a Tony Award for “Best Featured Actor In A Musical” on June 13, 2010.
