The Latin Grammys are the equivalent of the AMAs in English. Like the AMAs, SOMOS Productions conducts a public vote and surveys record stores to pick the winners of the Latin AMAs.
On October 8, 2015, Telemundo aired the inaugural Latin American Music Awards, hosted by Lucero. Enrique Iglesias has won the most wins of any artist at the 2022 Latin American Music wins, with a total of 13. With 12 honors to their name, CNCO is the second most decorated organization. Karol G has won nine accolades, making her the most successful female performer ever.
There are 40 nominations for J Balvin, 31 for Bad Bunny, and 30 for Ozuna. Shakira and Karol G have tied for the most nominations among female artists, with 20 each. Banda MS has received the most nominations (21), followed by Calibre 50 (15).
