Students at the Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado, form the Lamont Symphony Orchestra. It wasn't until 1941 that the Lamont School of Music became a part of the University of Denver. The members of this award-winning orchestra receive ongoing training that helps them prepare for their performances and future jobs in music. They have annual symphonic performances and annual stage productions.
Most of these shows are performed in the Robert and Judi Newman Theater. June Swaner Gates Concert Hall, Elizabeth Eriksen Byron Theatre, and Frederic C. Hamilton Family Recital Hall are just a few of the performance spaces at the Newman Center.
