Kessel Run is a Canadian instrumental exploratory rock band based in Denver, Colorado, after forming in 2016. The band delivers a high-energy concert experience that includes something for everyone. This quality is due to their habit of fusing elements of progressive, jazz fusion, and rock music. The sound is played over a funky backbeat that is highly entertaining. The band has a heavy use of improvisation that continually breathes new life into their arrangements.
The group has completed many successful Midwest and Southwest regional tours during their time. Throughout their career, the band members have presented memorable performances in historic venues, including The Belly Up in Aspen, Panet Bluegrass in Lyons, the Fox Theatre in Boulder, The Boulder Theatre, The Bluebird Theater, and Cenvantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver.
Kessel Run has also shared stages with various notable acts such as Here Comes the Mummies, The Werks, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, the Motet, Butcher Brown, Aqueous, Ghost-Note, Yonder Mountain String Band, and the String Cheese Incident.
