In 2013, Valentine dropped an EP titled Valentine, which debuted at #38 on the iTunes R&B rankings. The singer dropped her second mixtape, Red Velvet, on July 8, 2014. Scarlet Letter, her debut studio album, came out in 2016. Feminem, Valentine's following mixtape, was released in 2017 and was billed as an homage to the artist Eminem.
In 2019, she released the album Favorite Vibe, which quickly earned over a million streams in the first two weeks, debuting in the top 30 hip-hop charts. Infrared, the follow-up album to 2020's Favorite Vibe, debuted in the top five on iTunes that year. "an infusion of classic hip hop and R&B, with a pop sensibility," as the press release puts it, describes Infrared.
Valentine joined the cast of Wild 'N Out on MTV (later VH1) for season 8 in 2016, and he has remained a regular cast member ever since. She has been with the show longer than any other female cast member, having been there since season 17. On November 21, 2017, a special episode of MTV's The Challenge called Champs vs. Stars broadcast, and Valentine was one of the contestants.
