Justin Quiles (March 29, 1990) is an American singer born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Rich Music is a Miami-based record company that Quiles joined in August 2013. An instrumental version of his song "Orgullo" featuring Colombian artist J Balvin was his debut release for Rich Music; the song peaked at number 20 on Billboard's Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. The singles "No La Toques" and "Nos Envidian" were part of Quiles' 2015 first album, Carpe Diem, which was out in March.
Quiles, whose stage name is La Promesa (The Promise), dropped the name of his sophomore studio album on July 29, 2016. Before its release, the album ranked no. 2 Latin Album overall and no. 1 Latin Rhythm Album on Billboard. The single "Si Ella Quisiera" stands out on the album, and Yandel and Gadiel even remixed it. The song achieved platinum certification in Spain and reached number eight on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart and twenty on the Billboard Latin Pop Songs chart.
The Latin Trap single "Crecia" by Quiles, featuring Bad Bunny and Almighty, came out in 2017. In addition to his singles "Cuestion De Tiempo" featuring Jory Boy and "Tu Pollo" featuring Sech, he appeared as a guest artist on Fuego's "Baila Toma" and "Todo Cambio" by Osmani Garcia and Becky G, respectively. He performed "Egoista" as the opening number at Premios Juventud in July 2017.
