Judy Torres (June 13, 1968) is an American dance-pop singer and freestyle music artist. She was born in the Bronx, New York, where she attended St. Thomas Aquinas and later on went to high school at Aquinas High School. Torres scored many club hits with beautiful songs such as “No Reason to Cry,” I Love You, Will You Love Me,” “Love Story,” “Come into My Arms,” and “Please Stay Tonight.” In 1989, Torres released her debut album entitled “Love Story” on Profile Records. It was a freestyle collection, including Ken Cedar-penned “Weakness of the Body.”
Torres released her second album entitled “My Soul” in 1992. The album brought her positive reviews by critics. She has also hosted a regular freestyle Sunday-night show, “Freestyle Free For All,” that aired on the popular radio station of New York “WKTU 103.5.” She also scored a club hit in 2001 with one of her sentimental songs named “Back In Your Arms Again.” The song reached number seven on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play. Throughout her career, she worked with a few record labels, including Profile Records and Mic-Mac Records.
Torres has released several hit singles in her career. Some of them are “Missing Part” (1990), “Holding On” (1996), “The Air I Breathe” (2004), “Faithfully” (2005), “I Don’t” (2007), and “Hell No” (2008). She released a few full-length albums as well, including Love Story (1989), My Soul (1992), and Greatest Hits (2002).
