Javed Ali is a play singer born in Delhi, India. In school, he attended Ramjas School 4 in Paharganj. Javed Ali learned to sing from his father, the famous Qawwali artist Ustad Hamid Hussain. When ghazal singer Ghulam Ali heard Ali sing, he knew the young man had potential. In addition to providing instruction, Ghulam Ali also allowed Javed to perform in his performances. Javed changed his name from Javed Hussain to Javed Ali in homage to his spiritual mentor Ghulam Ali.
Since bursting onto the scene with 2007's "Ek Din Teri Raahon Mein" from the film Naqaab, Javed Ali has sung numerous hit songs from Bollywood films, including "Jashn-e-Bahaaran" from Jodhaa Akbar, "Arziyan" from Delhi-6, "Kun Faya Kun" from Rockstar, "Guzarish" from Ghajini, "Aa Jao Meri Tamanna" Playback singing in regional languages including Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are among his many talents.
From 2011's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L'il Champs on Zee TV to 2015's Great Music Gurukul on Colors Bangla and 2018's Indian Idol Season 10 on Sony Entertainment Television, he has served as a judge on several reality competitions. Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012, a singing competition, was presented by Javed Ali on Zee TV. Now, he's hosting the show Superstar singer 2022.
