Jackiem Joyner Information
Jackiem Joyner (February 9, 1980) is a smooth jazz flutist and saxophonist. R&B artist Angela Bofill extended an invitation to tour alongside Jean Carne, Ronnie Laws, and herself at the Bermuda Jazz Festival. He has served as India's opening act. He has performed with Arie, George Duke, Najee, Phil Perry, and Keiko Matsui. Following his 2003 marriage to Lola, he relocated to Los Angeles.
After releasing his self-titled debut album (2005) on his own, Joyner joined forces with Artizen Music Group and had his second album, Babysoul (2007), released by them. "Stay With Me Tonight" peaked at number seventeen on Billboard's Contemporary Jazz Chart, featuring guitarist Peter White.
He began recording for Mack Avenue following its acquisition of Artizen. The Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart saw the single "I'm Waiting for You" peak at No. 1. The 2010 American Smooth Jazz Awards considered it for Song of the Year. His song "Take Me There" also peaked at number one on the identical list. Mayor Stephanie Miner of Syracuse, New York, presented him with the Keys to the City in 2010 for Outstanding Achievement in Music and declared August 5, 2010, Jackiem Joyner Day.
