iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina Information
The iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina is an iHeartRadio-sponsored music festival. The Forum in Inglewood, California, near Los Angeles, hosted the first 2014 event on November 22. Live Nation Entertainment collaborated on the project. The festival is "a Latin music spin-off of the immensely successful iHeartRadio Music Festival."
The festival was planned to take place at the Staples Center, 10 miles (16 kilometers) across town, at the same time as the Calibash 2014. However, some days after the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina announcement, Calibash would be rescheduled for January 24, 2015. The music was broadcast live on numerous radio stations across the United States. Ticketmaster's official ticket pricing ranged from $71.70 to $439.90.
A celebrity red carpet was held before the event. The guests were Christina Milian, Mario Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, Katy Tiz, Bleona, Oscar De La Hoya, Dascha Polanco, and Selenis Leyva. Before the show, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, Becky G, and Voz a Voz performed a free pre-event concert named "La Villita" at the Forum parking lot. The concert began with Ricky Martin and ended with Pitbull. Pitbull then went on to host and perform at the 2014 American Music Awards the next night.
