I Fight Dragons Information
I Fight Dragons is an American rock band that is chiptune-based and originated from Chicago. The group's music is defined as a combination of chip tunes and rock along with unique electronic sounds. The members compose these sounds using Nintendo Entertainment Systems and the Nintendo Game Boys. With this practice, they came up with the genre called Nintendocore. The current lineup of the band consists of Brian Mazzaferri - lead vocals, rhythm guitar, NES; Packy Lundholm - backing vocals, NES, SNES, lead guitar, drums; Chad Van Dahm - drums, NES; Bill Prokopow - keyboards, backing vocals, NES, NES Zapper, Guitar Hero controller, NES Advantage, Power Pad; and Hari Rao - bass, NES.
To date, I Fight Dragons have released three full-length albums. They are as follows; KABOOM! in 2011 (released via Photo Finish / Atlantic Records), The Near Future in 2014 (self-released after raising over $100,000 through their "Project Atma" project on Kickstarter), and Canon Eyes in 2019. The band members have also released two EPs entitled Cool Is Just a Number and Welcome to the Breakdown, in 2009 and 2010, respectively.
The music by I Fight Dragons has been featured on WWE and Nintendo Video. The members also wrote and performed the theme song for the famous ABC's The Goldbergs. I Fight Dragons toured with MC Chris and Whole Wheat Bread across the US in 2009. In 2010, they went on a tour with Cobra Starship, 3OH!3, and Travie McCoy. The Protomen joined with I Fight Dragons on the 2011's tour, and the members were also seen on the complete mega 2012 and 2014 Vans Warped Tours.
