Hurry Information
Hurry is an American indie rock band that was founded in 2012 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The current lineup of the group includes Rob DeCarolis (drums), Joe DeCarolis (bass), and Matt Scottoline (vocals and guitar). Hurry began as a solo project for Matt Scottoline, a bassist of an emo revival band called “Everyone Everywhere.” The first ten to twenty songs that Matt wrote were intended to be his own material, played on guitar rather than bass. He decided to release home recordings on Bandcamp under the moniker “Hurry.”
Hurry eventually became a trio, eventually signing a record deal with Hot Green Records and released its first album entitled “Everything/Nothing.” The album was recorded at The Headroom by labelmate of Hop Along, Joe Reinhart. The record was preceded by its first single entitled “Oh Whitney.” The band’s third release was announced in March 2016 as “Guided Meditation,” and it was officially released on April 29, 2016, on Lame-O Records.
Hurry worked with a few labels such as Hot Green Records, Stereophonic Don, Lame-O, and Forward Fast throughout its career. Hurry has appeared with other artists in their albums and singles, including Strength in Weakness with The Weaks, Marietta, Spraynard, Beach Slang, and Modern Baseball. Other appearances also include Silver Linings, Philly Rock Comp Volume 3, A Song A Day Keeps The Pain Away, and a few more. Hurry released Every Little Though on February 23, 2018, as its latest studio album.
