Hughes Taylor is an American blues artist who was born in Macon, Georgia. He is praised for his energetic, ambitious blues and impressive guitar playing. Taylor’s unique and accomplished electric style fuses with traditional blues roots and classic rock. He picked up the guitar from a young age and decided this would be his future career. Taylor’s upbeat and fast-paced blues sound cannot be heard by another artist of his kind. Taylor is also the founder of The Hughes Taylor Band, a blues and rock power trio. The Hughes Taylor Band is reminiscent of the Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Cream.
Hughes Taylors released his first album entitled Hear My Melody, in 2016. It was followed by a sophomore album, Restlessin May of 2018. In the summer of the next year, his band released a blues album composed of many covers of influential blues songs. The album was called Good Blues, Fast. Taylor has recorded another single along with his band at the legendary Capricorn Sound Studios, located in Macon, GA.
