Here and There Festival Information
Singer/songwriter Courtney Barnett conceived and organized the first annual Here and There Festival. Sometimes I Sit and Think and Sometimes I Just Sit was her first album, published in 2015. The Festival is a small-scale road show that travels throughout the United States, starting in Missouri and ending in Colorado. Cities like Austin and San Diego will play a significant role in this incredible adventure. Because Courtney Barnett has hand-picked unique lineups for each Festival's dates, we can confidently call it a "boutique festival."
Fantastic artists such as Caroline Rose, Snail Mail, and Fred Armisen have contributed to this project. The Festival's organizer claims that, besides being a musician, one of her lifelong ambitions has been to organize her gathering and imagine the possible partnerships that can arise from it. The Festival's name comes from a phrase in a song that Barnett penned when she was younger, and she chose it because she felt it encapsulated the spirit of what she hoped to accomplish with the event.
