Hazel Miller is an American gospel, blues, and pop singer. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky. At the age of 15, Miller had already started singing professionally. She was featured in the Louisville music scene. She has sung backup for Al Green. Miller has opened for Lou Rawls and Mel Torme. She relocated to Los Angeles in 1984 along with her children. She decided to stay in Denver when her rental truck broke down there. Since then, Miller has been performing in Colorado and its surroundings.
Miller has performed at the Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater near Denver. She has also performed at the White House for President Bill Clinton during his time. Miller has been on tour with the military five times in her career. She has played music at Iwo Jima during those tours. Miller has also been a regular performer on the ETown Radio Show. She has shared stages and opened for several big names such as The Temptations, James Brown, James Taylor, Charlie Musselwhite, Paul & Mary, Peter, and Julian Lennon.
Miller has released a few albums throughout her career, including Hazel Miller and the Caucasians (1995), I’m Still Looking (2001), Live at the Fox (2001), and Icons (2006).
