Halie Loren (October 23, 1984) is an American jazz singer and songwriter. She was born in Sitka, Alaska. Her CDs have topped the Top 20 Jazz Albums chart in Japan. JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment and Burnside Distribution Corporation are among the companies that release Halie Loren's records. They Oughta Write a Song debuted at number three on the Billboard Japan jazz album list in 2008 and remained there for 33 weeks. The response from the critics was favorable.
As of October 2017, a YouTube video for the album song Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps had 5.6 million views. In 2008, the book Many Times, Many Ways: A Holiday Collection was published. Matt Treder, a pianist and co-producer, contributed two original works to the duet CD. Loren's debut live CD, Stages, was released in March 2010 and recorded at two Oregon Coast shows. Loren's film After Dark was released in 2010. It was voted a top three indie album of 2010 by Wildy's World, and she was nominated Artist of the Year.
Loren's original song "Thirsty" was nominated for a 2011 Independent Music Award for best jazz song and won the IMA Vox Pop poll for best jazz song. After the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Loren's original song "In Time" was released as a single to aid the Japanese Red Cross.
