Grace Potter Information
Grace Potter (June 20, 1983) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. She was born in Waitsfield, Vermont. Potter was selected to participate in Castleton University's three-week Governor's Institute on the Arts session in 1999 as a Harwood Union High School student. She studied under poet Verandah Porche and other artists there. She started as a student at St. Lawrence University but left after her second year to focus on her music career.
Nominations for her 2016 work on Kenny Chesney's album The Big Revival's single "Wild Child" came from the Country Music Association, CMT Music, and the Academy of Country Music.
On the January 25, 2016, episode of Conan, Potter performed as a musical guest. Fantasy Records published Eric Valentine's Daylight in October 2019. Benmont Tench, Lucius's Jess Wolfe, Holly Laessig, and other musicians are featured on it.
In 2020, amid the pandemic, Potter performed a special episode on the set of the original Star Trek and inaugurated weekly streaming media performances from her childhood home in Vermont and California. In August 2023, Fantasy Records released Mother Road, Potter's fourth solo album.
