The South Jersey-based band Gooch & The Motion plays an original mashup of country, blues, and rock n' roll. Joe "The Butcher" Nicolo, winner of nine Grammys as a producer, has said of the band, "They have a unique sound that also makes you nostalgic for artists you've listened to in the past." Gooch & The Motion, a band formed in 2016, originally had a revolving door of excellent Philadelphia and New Jersey musicians.
The band's core has developed into a devoted six-piece unit, capable of connecting with audiences large and small, from outdoor festivals to basement shows. The Motion has shared the stage with acts like The Allman Brothers, Luther Dickinson, Lynryd Skynryd, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Walter Trout, and Zac Brown Band.
