Gilby Clarke Information
Gilby Clarke (August 17, 1962) is an American record producer, singer, musician, and songwriter. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio. At the beginning of the 1980s, Clarke began his music career when he replaced Candy's original guitarist, Geoff Siegel, who went on to play with the Nymphs. Later, Gilby took over lead vocals for the band and wrote fan favorites like "Dance America" that were never released. When he moved on, he formed the metal band Kill for Thrills, best known for their EP Commercial Suicide and their album Dynamite from Nightmareland.
Jason Nesmith (son of former Monkees Mike Nesmith) played guitar in Kill for Thrills, while Todd Muscat, L.A. Punk band Decry, played bass in Kill for Thrills and then with Junkyard. Muscat is also related to Brent Muscat, his twin brother (Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, Sin City Sinners). The band's members all have deep ties to the LA rock community. With former Stray Cat guitarist Slim Jim Phantom and former touring auxiliary GN'R keyboardist Teddy "Zig Zag" Andreadis, he founded the band Col. Parker. In 2001, they released the album Rock N Roll Music.
Moreover, he produced and appeared on the album Shrinking Violet by the LA Guns. Clarke also produced the self-titled 2003 album by The Bronx, the 2006 debut album by Girlsplayboys, and the 2001 album by LA Guns, titled Man in the Moon.
