Ghost Information
Ghost is a Swedish rock band who had a debut single, "Elizabeth," was released in June 2010. On October 18, 2010, under the independent label Rise Above Records, Ghost released their debut album, Opus Eponymous. Critics received the album highly, and were nominated for the 2011 Grammis Award for "Best Hard Rock" after peaking at number 50 on the Sverigetopplistan. On October 23, 2010, during the Hammer of Doom festival in Würzburg, Germany, Ghost made their live debut.
The band is known for its spooky lyrics about topics such as the supernatural and religion. The lead singer, Papa Emeritus, wears a unique costume, and the rest of the band stays mysterious by calling themselves "Nameless Ghouls."
Albums such as Opus Eponymous and Meliora made the band popular. Their music is catchy, and their guitar riffs are strong, as are their vocals. Their live performances are highly energetic and theatrical, a factor that makes their fans love them.
In 2025, Ghost is still producing excellent music. They have recently produced a new album, Impera, which has been receiving a lot of affection from fans.
