Gangstagrass Information
Gangstagrass is a group of musicians that originated from Brooklyn, New York. The band was founded and led by Brooklyn producer Rench. He is famous for combining authentic bluegrass and rap into a new genre. The current lineup of the group consists of Dolio The Sleuth on vocals, R-Son The Voice of Reason on vocals, Brian Farrow on fiddle/vocals, and Dan Whitener on banjo/vocals. Gangstagrass was founded in 2006. The single "Long Hard Times to Come" was the initial hit by the band from where the members saw their music reaching a wide audience. The song was selected to be the opening theme song of Justified, which is an acclaimed television show on FX (2010).
On July 8, 2010, producer Rench and rapper T.O.N.E.Z of Gangstagrass was nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music because of their single "Long Hard Times to Come." Lightning On The Strings, Thunder On The Mic was the first full-length album by Gangstagrass released in 2010. The album featured T.O.N.E-z. It was followed by another full-length album Rappalachia in 2012 featuring many rappers.
Some of the other notable albums by the band are Broken Hearts and Stolen Money (2014) and American Music (2015). Gangstagrass also released a Live album entitled Pocket Full Of Fire: Gangstagrass Live (February 15, 2019) along with a few hit singles such as "Give It Up (Feat. T.O.N.E-z)" (2011), "Shoot Dem (Feat. T.O.N.E-z)" (2012), "Western (Feat. Kool Keith)" (2012), "Bound to Ride (Feat. R-SON the Voice of Reason and Dolio the Sleuth)" (2012), "Bound to Ride (Feat.
