New York-based indie rock duo Frog has slowly built a cult following with their strange lyrics, lo-fi style, and nostalgic Americana inspirations. Their 2014 album, Kind of Blah, mixed country, punk, and classic pop sounds, giving the underground scene a strange and touching voice. Frog's songwriting is known for turning everyday life in the suburbs into epic poems. It's both heartfelt and unexpected.
When Grown Up Wrong came out, it was a big step forward in how they made music. It spoke to people who liked bands like Pavement and The Mountain Goats, with songs about grown-ups, memories, and being alone in the digital world. People continued to love Frog's live shows at indie events and basement venues nationwide, a mix of awkward charm and raw talent.
Frog will go on their first foreign tour in 2025. They are also working on a new EP that is said to have synth-pop influences.
