Francisco El Hombre Information
The band Francisco, el Hombre was established in 2013 in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil, by brothers Sebastián and Mateo Piracés-Ugarte, who were born in Mexico and play rock, Mexican, Brazilian, and Latin American music. Their six-song EP La Pachanga! was published in April 2015. They recorded a music video for the song "Dicen" (They Say) at the Centro Cultural São Paulo on May 7th, which coincided with the release event. The studio version of the song featured Chilean vocalist Francisca Valenzuela.
Part of their debut album, "Calor da Rua" (co-produced by Curumin and Zé Nigro), deals with domestic violence; the music video for the song was released in June 2016. On September 2nd, the album Soltasbruxa was released. It was produced by Zé Nigro and featured political lyrics with social satire, as well as guest performances by Liniker and Apanhador Só.
Rasgacabeza, their second studio album, was released in March 2019. Rafael Gomes, the band's bassist for 6.5 years, left in June 2020 with the announcement via a new single titled "Despedida" (Farewell). Helena Papini, whose name Gomes had proposed, succeeded him that same year. After spending time apart, the band finally released Casa Francisco, their third studio album, in October 2021.
