Four80East Information
The Canadian band Four80East plays electronic jazz. While DeBoer and Grace were busy composing, arranging, and producing artists on their Boomtang Records label, they decided to start their studio project. They published their first album, titled Simply The Album, in 1997. Both critics and listeners very well received the Album.
Nocturnal, the duo's second album, was released in 2001. DeBoer and Grace created all of the album's songs, and they recruited Jon Stewart on tenor saxophone, Andrew McPherson on flute, and Ivana Santilli on trumpet to play on the album. 2002 Carlos Del Junco appeared on the album Round 3 as a harmonica player. En Route, their fourth studio album was released in 2007 and featured instrumental dance music.
The group Four80East released their fifth album, Roll On, in 2009 and their sixth album, Off Duty, in 2012. Four80East LIVE, a compilation of 15 songs recorded at three separate gigs, came out in early 2014. The band's music may also be heard on The Weather Channel Presents: The Best of Smooth Jazz, a 2007 compilation album.
