Eva Ayllon Information
Maria Angelica Ayllón Urbina (February 7, 1956) is a singer and composer from Peru, better known by her stage name Eva Ayllon. The name Eva was adopted by her maternal grandmother, who helped her enter into singing at the age of three. Eva used to sing in her school competitions as a child and then as a teen. Later on, she began appearing on radio and television. Eva appeared in many musical groups throughout the early 1970s and began touring by 1979, appearing in Japan, Canada, Europe, and the United States. Eva was invited to join Los del Sol (Children of the Sun), a supergroup made up of musical stars from Peru. She has also performed in the film, Sebastian.
Ayllon released her debut US album entitled "Eva! Leyenda Peruana" in 2004 with Times Square Records. After releasing her album in the United States, her musical boundaries began to expand. She was also honored with a seat among the judges of Latin America's largest music festival called "Festival De Vina del Mar." Ayllon has produced over 30 records and been nominated over ten times for the Latin Grammy. She released a live concert DVD recording named, Live from Hollywood, in April 2007. Eva Ayllon has a vast list of a discography that includes Esta noche (1979), Al ritmo de Eva Ayllon (1980), Cuando hacemos el amor (1982), Para mi gente (1985), Para Todos (1986), Concierto de gala en vivo (1992), and Amanecer en ti (1998).
