Escapade Music Festival Information
The Escapade Music event is an electronic dance music event every year in Ottawa, Ontario. It has some of the biggest names in the electronic dance music business. In 2010, Deadmau5 headlined a small but memorable Escapade Music Festival in the Byward Market for a single day. The event drew a few hundred people.
With an expected 5,000 people in attendance, Escapade Music Festival expanded in 2011 to fit a larger venue, this time a big market parking lot, and three major headline DJs: Tiesto, Laidback Luke, and Calvin Harris.
At the Rideau Carleton Raceway in Southeast Ottawa, Escapade celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2014. The festival grew in scope and magnitude, attracting over 30,000 people over four days.
More than 40 DJs were spinning tunes on three stages during this year's main event and many more on the fourth, the Canada Day stage in the market.
A major investment in the Bud Light Escapade Music Festival was announced on February 1, 2018, by Olivier Primeau, a Montréal, Québec-based entrepreneur and social media tycoon known for his work with Midway Group (Beachclub, Metro Metro Festival, and Oasis Festival, among others).
