Ernie Haase and Signature Sound Information
Ernie Haase & Signature Sound is a Southern gospel quartet. The group was founded in 2002. The current lineup of the quartet consists of Tyler Vestal (piano), Paul Harkey (bass), Dustin Doyle (lead and baritone), Doug Anderson (lead and baritone), and Ernie Haase (tenor). Haase formed the Signature Sound Quartet and bass singer Tim Duncan, baritone Doug Anderson, and lead singer Shane Dunlap. The group recorded three albums, including Stand By Me (released in April 2002), Building a Bridge (2003), and Glory To His Name (2003). The Signature Quartet also participated in their first live concert on February 21, 2003, at Reardon Auditorium in Anderson, Indiana.
The Signature Sound Quartet changed its name to Ernie Haase and Signature Sound in 2004. The name was changed to avoid confusion with similarly titled regional groups across the area. In October 2005, the quartet released its self-titled album. They also signed a record deal with the Gaither Music Group. The band became regular performers with the Gaither Homecoming videos and tours. Ernie Haase & Signature Sound has been nominated three times in Grammy Awards for Best Southern/Country/Bluegrass Gospel Album and Best Roots Gospel Album two times in 2010, 2019, and 2021 respectively.
