Erick Y Grupo Massore is a Mexico-based band from Coahuila that the Sanchez family founded. The group was created in June 1996 by the father Miguel Angel Sanchez and his sons. The father came up with the band’s name Massore, which is an Arabic word meaning money. The band is under the leadership of Erick, who began singing at the age of six.
There was a clash among the brothers, and the group split into two. His brothers Miguel Sanchez and Hugo Sanchez chose another route while Erick stayed in the original band. Both the bands vowed to continue to fight over the name Massore unless the court decided the outcome.
Erick y Grupo Massore is now identified for fast beats, versatile songs, and quick cumbias. The band graced the stage of Fiesta de la Flor that Citgo presents. The group has recorded over a dozen albums featuring huge cumbia hits such as “La Inconforme,” “El Baile De Gorilla,” “Massore Dancing Mix,” “Original Cumbia Power Music,” “15 Exitos De Messore,” and “La Cumbia Reggetona...Se Baila Asi.”
